What is a Liquid Wrap? A Liquid Wrap is the Future of Affordable Paint Protection and Customization. It is sprayed on, but peels off by hand similar to a vinyl wrap. We always apply a minimum of 7-10 thick coats, not only for durability, but to ensure it thoroughly peels off when you are ready. Vinyl Wraps leave behind adhesives, our product does not! There is no need to sand down a vehicle prior to a wrap installation. A Liquid Wrap is 100% safe and removable when you are ready. It keeps your clear coat underneath safe and protected from every day elements such as road debris, fading, rock chips, road salt, and more! Liquid Wraps comes in a wide variety of colors and can be applied to virtually any surface. This is a great alternative to painting because it is durable, inexpensive, and it can be taken off with no damage to the original paint.
Benefits of a liquid wrap
Liquid wraps are an affordable alternative to vinyl wraps. It gives you the opportunity to alter the color of your vehicle while providing a protective coating on-top of your original OEM paint job. They can be applied in just hours in most cases, dry in minutes, and can last for several years with proper care. They are fully removable, and allow even leased vehicles to be customized since you can take it off at the end of the lease. They can mimic luxury paint jobs if installed properly, and are extremely versatile. Once fully cured, a liquid wrap is weather resistant, salt proof, and wont crack or become brittle. It protects your vehicle from fading, rock chips, bug damage, and road debris. Unlike a vinyl wrap, they wont leave behind adhesive on your vehicle once removed. They also wont lose their adhesion overtime like vinyl wraps tend to. Installation Information Please wash the vehicle the day before your appointment. DO NOT use tire shine or wax prior to your appointment. Door jambs are not included in installation. Only the exterior body panels are included. If weather does not permit- (high levels of humidity, excessive rain, or freezing temperatures) we may ask to hold your vehicle an extra day to avoid any issues with curing. How long do Liquid Wraps last? A liquid wrap has no expiration, but around the 2-3 year mark it may not look as fresh and you may desire to add a refresher coat, remove it, or have a different color installed on-top of the old color. A refresh coat can be done very inexpensively. Similarly, a vinyl wrap generally last about 3 to 4 years and can not be refreshed. Keep in mind: There are many people who try this at home with cans they purchase from their local hardware shops, and unfortunately the end result is very poor. We fix countless jobs each year.
What is your Warranty?
Our installers stand behind their work 100%. You are covered against product and installation error including bubbles and peels for (10 days). Rest assured, we have never had a customer come back with a warranty issue after the product has cured (1-2 weeks). If this is the case, we will take care of you. We strive to make our customers happy. Any damage caused by accidents or vandalism are not covered by warranty.
Could the Liquid Wrap damage my clear coat?
Liquid Wraps have been applied on thousands of vehicles and removed with no damage to the clear coat at all. However, our manufacturer has stated paint that is already chipping, in bad condition, or an aftermarket paint job that has been improperly applied may peel off in areas when removing coatings. Our shops havent had an issue of the sort.
Do you offer refunds if I change my mind and don't want to get it done?
All deposits are non refundable and are used to order materials to do your vehicle. If you change your mind about the color after we order a color already, you will be charged the difference. All material is ordered fresh, and had a shelf life of a few months. If not used before then, new material may need to be ordered. If no longer want your car done and paid in full for the job, you will be eligible for a refund minus the cost of materials.
How often should I wash my vehicle wrap?
Do NOT wash your vehicle for at least 1 full week after getting it liquid wrapped. After this, you can wash your wrap once a week or more often if your vehicle is exposed to a lot of dirt or pollutants. We recommend hand washing it using a gentle automotive detergent - any good brand will work. Always use a clean automotive sponge or a clean, soft microfiber cloth to wash your wrap. Rinse vehicle with clear water after washing. Dry with a clean microfiber cloth. There is no need to add wax to a wrap. It is not paint, and wax will only harm it.
What Tire Shine Should I use?
Do not use oil based tire shines such as black magic. They will sling onto your car and rims, causing them to stain and lift overtime. Use a water based tire shine only. Most car washes use oil based tire shines, so make sure you keep your own tire shine with you. We recommend using Armor-All Extreme tire shine and wheel cleaner (the squirt bottle versions, not the cans).
Can I take my wrapped vehicle into a drive-through car wash?
You can bring your wrapped vehicle to an automated BRUSHLESS car wash, though hand washing is safer and more thorough. Some brush car washes may be too rough on the wrap, degrading it and causing peeling and lifted edges over time. If an automatic car wash uses just water spray and no brushes, it should be safe for most wraps. Others are not recommended.
Can I Pressure Wash my Vehicle Wrap?
If you want to pressure wash your liquid wrap, keep it below 1,800 psi. Use a spray nozzle with a 40 degree wide angle spray pattern and keep water temperature below 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep the spray nozzle at least 12 inches away from the car at all times.
How Do I Clean Bird Droppings, Insects, Tree Sap or Other Difficult Stains?
Clean bird droppings and difficult stains immediately. Letting them sit for too long will make them harder to remove and may permanently damage the wrap. Soak the affected area for a few minutes with warm, soapy water to loosen the contaminants. Rinse completely and dry with a microfiber cloth. For stubborn contaminants, use 91% rubbing alcohol. Do NOT use solvents or oil based cleaning products!
What Should I Do about Gas or Fuel Spills?
If you spill gas on your liquid wrap, do NOT touch it. Simply let it evaporate away. Gas will liquidify your wrap, so if you touch it, you will leave prints in your car when it dries. Try to avoid spilling gas by covering underneath of the fuel door with a rag to catch any drips.
What products should I avoid when cleaning my wrap?
Never, EVER use any of the following cleaning products on your wrap: -Solvents / Thinners -Oil based cleaners -Kitchen & Bathroom Cleaners -Waxes -Engine Degreaser -WD40 -Oil Based Tire shine
What areas should I pay special attention to?
Door handles, side skirts, and anywhere that your hands and feet commonly come in contact with.Your handles will peel, especially if the car is freshly done, if you're not very delicate for the first 2 weeks by using caution when opening and closing the door. Be careful when entering and exiting the vehicle, making sure your feet don't rub against the side skirt area under the door. Also, be careful when parking so that your front and back bumpers don't hit the cars around you, causing damage to your liquid wrap. The discussed gas spills, door handle peels, side skirt tears, or bumper tears are not covered by warranty.
"Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It's quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that's where you will find success."
